Hello Classmates!
Your reunion planning committee has been hard
at work trying to get everything nailed down for our upcoming reunion! I'm
happy to report that the schedule of events and cost per person have been
determined. The cost per person attending will be $50.00. Please see
the attached flier for more information. On the flier, you have link options
so you can see more about the events we've scheduled.
Diana Randall Patterson is hard at work getting
our sign up form put together. Be patient and we'll send out the form very
soon. As well, you'll be able to download and print it off our website. Be
sure to check our website from time to time for more information.
Many of you have been helping to locate our
missing classmates. Please keep looking for them!! The latest list of contacts
is attached so you can see who we have and who's missing. Get your yearbook
out and look for people who are not on the list. All we ask is that you
verify the contact information before you send it to us! As well,
you'll see an updated list of our deceased classmates. Let us know if we're
missing any names on that list. Hopefully we're not!

Good Morning Classmates!
Its been suggested that
we consider a DJ for the reunion instead of a band. We haven't booked the
band yet, so we can do whichever we want. Bands are fun and the one
suggested for our reunion is popular in the Texarkana area. However, DJ's
are fun too and can play the songs exactly as we remember them! Please send
me your opinion... DJ
or Band? I'll share the results at our next
meeting.
With your
help, I'd like to put together a list of Trivia questions from our days at
THS. I'll find a way to use them at our reunion. Please send me your
questions and answers! Be creative and think back in time... (It'll be good
exercise for our brains!) Also, they don't have to be hard...just memorable.
For example, you might suggest:
What was
the name of our head football coach our senior year?
Who was
voted ???
What was
the drama teacher's name who directed all our musicals?
Who
played leading rolls in a particular musical?
Maybe
there was a particular sport highlight you remember....the game winning
score?
Did
someone in our class get in trouble for something that we may have forgotten
about?
Be thinking
and send them only to me - not everyone on the e-mail list. We'll keep your
questions and answers private until the reunion.

Dear Classmates,
I'm setting a reunion meeting date for Monday,
December 5th! Please put it on your calendars. I know Bryces has
worked well for us being able to discuss our plans, but I'd like to have this
meeting somewhere else. Please send me your suggestions. I'll
announce the meeting location in a later e-mail. When you send a suggestion,
keep in mind we're going to need a little room to move around and a little
quiet so we can be heard.
I especially need those people listed below,
who are in charge of various events and planning, to be at this meeting with
as many specifics as you can bring. If you're not going to be at the
meeting, be sure I have your information prior to the meeting.
Clarence
and Christie - hotel information.
Howard
Glick/Danny Proctor - golf tournament information.
Phillip
Nixon - band information (cost!).
Don
Morriss and Debbie Patman Schimming - Saturday tour and lunch
(including golfers on the lunch). Dianna Randall Kinsey
- postcards ?? for mailing to classmates we have addresses for and no e-mails.
Bonnie
Dager - Accounting and suggestions for information needed when we
design our sign up sheet.
* I've thought about suggesting an alumni book - for just our class -
that has everyone's current contact information - and maybe a short bio. These
could be available at the reunion.
In addition to the names I've listed, we're
going to need to form more committees as we get closer to the reunion. So
please be sure to come - Ike, Debbie, Shannon, David, Danny, Susie,
Robert, Teensy, Clyde, Earl, and anyone else who would like to come! Don't
get your feelings hurt if I left your name off this short list. We need and
want you there!
*For those who were close to Nancy Tullos,
you may want to know Bob Tullos had a very serious and debilitating stroke
recently. Please keep Nancy, Bob and their family in your prayers.

Hello Classmates!
We're slowly getting more e-mail addresses so I'm
updating you on the latest list. I just added Dale Bagwell - so send him a
"hello"!! It is so great to hear back from many of you - hearing
more about the lives you've all created for yourselves. I must say we have
some very wonderful people in our class who have gone on to do AMAZING things
with their lives. If you are not on our FB page, please take time to join so
you can share more with others, as well as hear more about others.
A while back, I sent an e-mail suggesting that our reunion
slide show feature photos of us as the people we've become. If you have a
hobby, a family, an accomplishment - anything that you can share in a couple
of photos - please send them to me! You can send them to my home address: 3111
Poplar Street / Marshall, Texas 75672 - on a disk or paper - or you can
e-mail them to this e-mail. Be sure to include some information about the
picture and yourself. Again, the photo may be of you standing with your
wife/husband, kids, grand kids! Maybe you LOVE to cook - send a picture of you
in the kitchen or grilling! If it's dogs that are the love of your life, share
a photo of you and them. Of course, you'll all be seeing me with my horse and
learn how much I love to barrel race! But that's the idea. Share who you are
and what you love. Don't put this off!
As well, please keep sending me e-mail addresses. We have over
160 now!

Hello Classmates!
I'm back from New York,
thankfully, before the hurricane hit! However, it would have been a great
story to be able to say I experienced an earthquake and a hurricane all
within a week! Right now I'm going on about 2.5 hours of sleep, so please
excuse anything I write that doesn't make sense!
Thank you to everyone working
hard to get in touch with classmates! We now have 158 email addresses! And,
even better, most everyone is planning on coming. There's still many
classmates we haven't heard from so keep looking for them. It would be
helpful for you to get your yearbook and go through the names to see who
we're missing.
This is going to be a well
organized and FUN reunion!

Hello Classmates!
Last night, several classmates
showed up to help with the planning of our reunion. Mostly, we're trying to
nail down our costs so we can create our sign up form. We need to get it right
so we're not going to rush. Just know it's coming together very well and that
the reunion will be a lot of fun. Please make every effort to come!
We'll meet again sometime in
October and you can expect to be able to sign up sometime around the first of
the year. The main mission for us, at this time, is to get in touch with
everyone. We had a large class and we want to be sure everyone knows about
this reunion. So keep helping us locate e-mail addresses!
Be sure to note we have a website
and our very own Facebook page! It's a great way for us to be in touch and for
sharing photos and memories.
