THE TOP 10 OF THS 1972

Where are they now?  What are they doing?

1.Steve Garrison

I graduated from Rice University and then the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, and I did my Pediatric Residency with the Navy in Portsmouth, Va. I practiced Pediatrics in Texarkana with Collom and Carney for 11 years. I am currently the Medical Director of the Smith County Public Health District and the Medical Authority for Smith County. I have two children, Tom, aged 21 years and Dan, aged 19 years, both of whom are studying at Texas A&M. I am divorced and remarried. I am the happiest I have ever been in my life.

2. Linda LaSalle

She moves in, she moves out.  Where are you?

3. Walter (Tad) Barnes

Walter is married to Cynthia, and has 3 children.  He is Managing Director for Sunbelt Business Consultants.  Lives in West Hartford, CT.

4. Carolyn Miller

Waiting to hear.......

5. Bonnie Dager

OK Bonnie, where are you?  Probably have your head in a book somewhere.

6. Lloyd Vickery

Classical Archaeology degree from UTx.  Then started Geology degree.  Moved to Denver in 1980.  Worked in oil industry and finished Geology BS at UColorado.  Oil industry collapsed in mid 80's so I thought I'd try teaching for 5 years until Oil recovered.  It's been 15 years now and I've found I like teaching much more than Oil.  I teach high school math (alg2, geometry, trig) in a nice problem-free affluent  suburb 25 miles south of Denver.  Archaeology and geology are now hobbies.  I married Kim, a Denver native, 15 years ago, no kids.  We have a "lofted" cabin that we built from the ground up in the Sangre de Christo Mtns. near an old mining town called Westecliffe.  We love to travel and garden.  We are collecting fools hoarding things like minerals, crystals, fossils, wine, vintage ports, and pre WW1 German toys and trains.

7. Brad Poulos

I went to Texas Christian University and graduated in 1976. I then went to Baylor Law School and graduated from there in 1978. I got my law license in both Texas and in Arkansas in 1979. I then practiced law in Texarkana with the Atchley, Russell firm for 6 years.  In 1985 I moved to Fort Worth and started working for the Cantey Hanger firm, where I am still practicing law. I finally got married in 1993 to a court reporter. We now have an 8 year old daughter named Natalie, and a 6 year old son named Nicholas.

8. Karen Bradshaw

Medical school at UT Southwestern in Dallas, then I did a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology and a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility all at Southwestern. I was in Boston for a while as an assistant professor at New England Medical Center before moving back to Dallas. Now, I am a tenured professor at UT Southwestern, I teach gynecology, and have a practice in pediatric and adolescent gynecology and run a center designed for the peri- and post-menopausal woman.  No kids, no pets, no ex-husbands - - I travel light but it works for me. I love to cook, garden, bicycle and travel. I'm looking forward to seeing you and all our old friends!  This is really nostalgic catching up.

9. Steve Burke

Journalism degree from UT-Austin, 1976. Worked briefly at the Texarkana Gazette and Dallas Morning News before marrying another journalist, Kiki Dreyer, in 1979. Moved to the Cincinnati area in 1980 for more newspaper work, but ended up in law school in 1987. Now a litigation partner with Deters, Benzinger & LaVelle. Played in an Irish folk band for about 10 years. Raising two girls and a boy in Ft. Thomas, Ky., across the river from Cincinnati. My office is just 10 minutes from the Cincinnati airport, so call me if you're flying through.

10. Laura Moore

I completed my Bachelor's in Home Economics Education at Texas Woman's University in 1975 and then earned a Masters in Food & Nutrition Science at Kansas State University in 1977. My career has taken me to Indiana, back to Texas, and then to Georgia working for different food manufacturers. You may have eaten some of the products that I developed. I am currently a Project Manager in Research and Development at Rich-SeaPak, a frozen food manufacturer. I have lived on St. Simons Island, a lovely resort island off of the coast of Georgia for the last fifteen years.
